During the night of November 8 –
9, 1938, the Synagogue in
Nentershausen was desecrated.
The installation was disturbed, the
sanctuary was ransacked, its
contents thrown out, the Torah
scrolls together with other
religious symbols were burned.
The motorized saw, which was
brought along to cut the main
beam support to collapse the
building, broke during the attempt.

Shown as an example of the
shameful behavior against a
Jewish Temple during the rule of
the National Socialists.
