As a scholarship recipient, Carlos Katz (shaking hands in the middle of the
picture), for one year at the Technical University in Darmstadt, Germany, met in
1959, during a reception for foreign students in Bad Honnef, the former president
of the Federal German Republic, Professor Theodore Heuss.
In 1962 Carlos Katz moved to the USA and became a specialist for underground
power cables. He lives in the State of New Jersey together with his wife Sandra,
born Rodin (children: Joseph and David). Brother Bert lives in Boston, in the
State of Massachusetts, married to Helen Strauss from Selters in the Westerwald
(children: David, Rachel and Alan).
