At about 1907 Abraham
Strauss (* 1856 ) and his
family settled down at
Fuldastrasse 8 ( nowadays
Gartenstrasse 1,
metalworking Co. Kraus).
Abraham operated a
grocery store just as he had
done in Rothenkirchen. At
first the store was in the
back of the house, but at a
later time they added on for
the store.Thanks to the new
salesroom, which most
likely was added on after
WWI, the Strauss Co.
expanded into a wholesale
establishment.
