This group photo was taken about 1936 at the yard of the Strauss family. In the center one recognizes
Alfred’s cousin, Edith Meyer. The toddler in front of her might be Gertrud Strauss. On the very right is
Manfred Weinberg from Huenfeld standing, second from left is Fritz Levi from Fulda. The young men
attended the worship service in order to make sure the congregation, which had become rather small,
could establish a minyan (religious quorum of ten male Jews over the age of thirteen).
