Adelheid Strauss, mother of Marga and Manfred, was Abraham’s
second wife. She was born in 1896 and came from the large Stern
family who had been living in Burghaun for generations. For the
big siblings Feiber and Herta she was a loving and caring second
mother.
The Nazis had ruled since 1933, injustices galore had been delt the
Jews already, therefore more and more Jewish people fled
Germany or tried to find protection in the big cities like Frankfurt
a.M. where hardly anybody knew them.
